| Emergency
Exit was formed in 1985 by guitarist Stuart
Watts. He recruited his brother Ian Watts on Bass Guitar,
a drummer freind John Parkes and a guitarist Giles Ward.
They played only 2 small gigs with this line-up. The band played
mainly 60's covers. Stuart soon recruited Dave Beale to front
the band and then Andy Birkett as a lead guitarist, Giles
taking up the Keyboard position and backing Guitar. The band played
20 or so gigs over the next couple of years. Emergency Exit eventually
split in 1989 with Ian and Andy joining You Me & Him
and Stuart joining The Wam
Bam Rainbow Band. Giles and John also moved on to play in
other cover bands and still play together now. |
| Tragically, Emergency Exit singer and
front-man Dave Beale died in1998 shortly after the band split.
He is missed by all musicians who played with him. RIP. |
